Threat to Clapham Fire Station - have your say or get involved

Threat to Clapham Fire Station - have your say or get involved There is a march on Saturday March 16, in Clapham to save the fire station in Clapham, which is being threatened with closure under proposals by the London Fire Brigade's London Safety Plan (LSP5), which falls under the Mayor of London's direction.

The proposals set out how the fire and rescue service in London could be delivered over the next few years and include proposed changes to the number of fire stations, fire engines and firefighter posts to Londoners and give you an opportunity to give your views.

There is a three-month consultation on the potential closure of 12 London fire stations, including Clapham, by the bus ramp in the Old Town near Clapham Common tube station.

As many club members live in and around this area, we thought you might want to share your views by filling in the consultation online.

If you want to show your support at the march, it starts at midday on Clapham Common on March 16, though it does clash with several hockey matches.
