What is covered by your fees?

The continued success of Spencer Hockey Club is reliant upon the payment of membership fees by all playing members of the hockey club. Your membership fees cover the cost of fitness and skills training*; friendly, league and where applicable cup matches; match day teas and use of the facilities provided at Spencer Club. Players are also covered by our liability insurance policy, but we strongly recommend you take out personal accident or injury cover.

*Please note – if you are in a low paying rate team, play Friday night social hockey and / or summer league your membership fees do not cover training.*

Senior playing membership fees

Full playing member - £390 (single payment or six monthly instalments of £65)
Full playing member also coaching senior or junior hockey - £95 (single payment)
Goalkeeper with own kit - £95 (single payment)

Low rate* – Harlequins, and Supervets only - £320 (single payment or six monthly instalments of £53.34)
Low rate* – Supervets Over 60s - £180 (single payment or three payments of £60)
Low rate* – Sapphires social playing membership – £95 (single payment) plus £10 per match fee

Social playing membership - £60 (single payment) plus £10 per match fee

Full time students (proof of student status will be required) - £195 (single payment or six monthly instalments of £32.50)

All rates (except social playing memberships) are subject to a £30 increase if payment has not been made or set up by 1 November

Members of other Spencer sports sections may benefit from a £30 discount – this does not apply to social playing members, GKs with own kit or players also coaching who are already eligible for reduced fees.

How to pay

Subs can now be paid via the Spencer website and this is the preferred payment method. To pay your subscription, simply login at http://hockey.spencerclub.org/login/. Go to “My Account” and follow the payment options on the right of the page. All payments are made by direct debit, so you need to have your bank details handy– the system does not accept credit cards.

Current members will be sent an automated message to the email held in our records at the beginning of September. Please add - hockey@spencerclub.org to your email contact list to ensure the emails don’t get lost in your junk folders! Regular reminders are then sent until the payment has been set up.

New members will be registered to the website and be sent an initial email asking you to activate your account. You will then be able to login to pay your fees.

By exception only, fees may be paid direct to the Spencer Hockey Club bank account. For details, please contact the Treasurer – finance@hockey.spencerclub.org

No pay, no play

Players who have not paid or started to pay their fees by 1 January will not be eligible to train with or play hockey for Spencer Hockey Club.
